Jerusalemite activists on Tuesday called for supporting and defending the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem against Israeli intents to displace them in four days.
In an announcement circulated on social media, the activists called for necessarily participating in the evening and Tarawih prayers to be held on Wednesday, April 28, in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
Palestinian activists have launched a social media campaign recently to rally solidarity with the Sheikh Jarrah families who are facing displacement on May 2.
The activists also urged the media to send their reporters to the neighborhood to cover the solidarity campaign.
The local residents of Sheikh Jarrah have been facing since 1972 an Israeli plan to displace them and build housing units for Jewish settlers.
