Hamas condemns Israeli killing of Jerusalemite, calls for retaliation

The Hamas Movement has called for escalating all forms of resistance in the West Bank to punish the Israeli occupation and make it pay dearly for its crimes against the Palestinians.

This came in remarks made on Tuesday morning by Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem on his Twitter page, commenting on the Israeli shooting attack that claimed the life of a Jerusalemite citizen and injured his wife.

“A new crime, committed by the occupation against a Palestinian family, led to the martyrdom of Osama Mansour and seriously injured his wife in the west of Occupied Jerusalem,” spokesman Qasem said.

“Such ongoing crimes entail escalating all forms of resistance to punish the occupation, make it pay dearly for its crimes, and curb the aggressive behavior of its army and settlers,” the spokesman added.

A Palestinian citizen died and his wife suffered a serious injury on Tuesday morning when Israeli forces, with no reason, showered the car they were aboard with bullets, after stopping several vehicles on a road in the west Jerusalem village of Bir Nabala.
