Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Israeli army arrested 297 Palestinian citizens, including 12 children and ten women throughout occupied Palestine last August, according to human rights watchdogs.

A new report issued on Monday by several human rights watchdogs (the Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners Association, Addameer, Wadi Hilweh Information Center) revealed that the occupation state arrested 103 Palestinians from Jerusalem, 42 from Hebron, and 40 from Jenin.

The report added that 33 Palestinians were arrested in Ramallah and Bireh, 23 in Bethlehem, 10 in Nablus, 20 in Tulkarm, 11 in Qalqilya, 8 in Jericho, 4 in Tubas, 2 in Salfit, and one in Gaza.

The total number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails has reached nearly 4500, including 41 women, 140 children, and 340 administrative detainees.

The report called on international institutions to intervene and save the lives of patient, children, and women prisoners in Israeli jails amid the coronavirus pandemic.
