Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, announced on Friday that 7 deaths, 859 cases of the coronavirus and 1,025 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that two deaths were recorded in al-Khalil, two in Jerusalem and three in the Gaza Strip.
She stated that the new infections were recorded as follows: al-Khalil 33, Qalqilya 40, the suburbs of Jerusalem 33, Tulkarem 44, Bethlehem 30, Salfit 38, Nablus 52, Jenin 25, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 14, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 114, Tubas 1, Gaza Strip 139, and Jerusalem 296.
The new recoveries were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil 102, Qalqilya 12, the suburbs of Jerusalem 110, Tulkarem 32, Bethlehem 31, Salfit 40, Nablus 14, Jenin 25, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 9, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 170, Tubas 10, Gaza Strip 246, and Jerusalem 224, the minister added.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 93.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.8 percent, and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 75 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 25 who have been placed on ventilators.
