Gaza,(Alresalah.ps)-- The Hamas Movement on Friday evening organized angry protests and rallies in different areas of the Gaza Strip to denounce Palestinian Authority (PA) president Mahmoud Abbas for threatening to stifle Gaza and plunge it into problems.
During the protests, several participants carried candles in a message to Abbas and his government that Gaza would never yield to their extortions and threats.
In the Gaza province, scores of citizens rallied at al-Saraya junction, al-Zeitoun neighborhood near Salahuddin Mosque, Jabalia parking lot, Talat al-Mintar area, al-Sanafur juntion, al-Taqwa juntion and al-Eiyun junction.
In northern Gaza, citizens rallied near Salim Abu Muslim Mosque in Beit Lahia, where Palestinian lawmaker and Hamas official Mushir al-Masri accused the PA leadership of being an accomplice in the blockade on Gaza.
In his speech before the crowds, Masri stressed that “the Hamas Movement would never recognize the Israeli occupation despite all conspiracies against Gaza and the measures taken to tighten the siege on its population.”
In the central province, hundreds also took to the streets in al-Nuseirat, Bureij, Maghazi, Zouaydah, and Deir al-Balah protesting the PA’s involvement in Gaza crises, especially the electricity problem.
Similar protests took place in Rafah, Khan Younis, Nuseirat refugee camp, where angry citizens burned pictures of Abbas and his premier Rami al-Hamdallah as well as of Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu and his war minister Avigdor Lieberman.
More massive protests and marches will be organized in different areas of Gaza in the coming days to condemn Abbas’s policies towards the besieged enclave, according to Hamas.
